Twice cut
11x 14, acrylics and Stabilo pencil on paper
There is a self grown cactus in our front yard. It got tall and now it's arms are touching the roof. My husband, unwillingly, is cutting two of the arms in hope they will stop growing and the gravity of the cactus will turn away from the house. This drawing represents what happened after the second cut. The little new bud is so round and determined to grow, reminding us of the unstoppable resilience of nature.
